W - She is the foundation of our breeding
program here at Blackhorse Farms. Emke
came to us directly from the Netherlands (her English
is coming along just fine...).
She is a 7yr old
FHANA
registered Friesian mare loaded with love,
personality and a powerful trot - the kind that
makes us fall in love with this majestic breed.
Proving that
Emke passes on her strong Friesian traits to her
offspring, her last foal, Winter MF (below), was
awarded a 2nd Premium at the 2007
Friesian Keuring.. Then she was given "Reserve
Champion" by the Dutch judges, making
her 2nd best in her class.
Winter is now
living with her new owner in Washington
state. We greatly miss her sweet, cuddly disposition
and her energetic enthusiasm and look forward to
seeing her at the 2010 Keuring. |
